History
Angstrom Precision Optics has a rich history in the Rochester NY area. Founded in 1998 by John O’Herron APO has grown into an 8000 sq ft manufacturing facility with 15 employees. Principles John O’Herron and Ron Schulmerich share over 30 years each in the optical fabrication industry. Continuous investment in equipment and personnel has lead APO to be a world leader in the processing of optical components. Their combined experience has allowed APO to become a fore runner in the polishing and CNC machining of optical materials. Customers are assured that 100% of the products supplied by APO are manufactured in the United States.

The quality system at APO is modeled after MIL-I-45208a and complies to the intent of ISO 9002. APO can provide statistical data as well as full certifications. Inspection and test data regarding all optical and mechanical characteristics are supplied at no charge upon customer request.
